I Have a Week Off!

So there is this BIG perk to being a teacher and it's called... TIME OFF! This is the first job I've had that I get weekends off, which is enough to excite me on its own. But then I ALSO get 2 weeks off at Christmas, a week off for Mid-Winter break (now), a week off in April and then the whole summer off!

So perhaps I will actually blog this week since I'll have more time.

I want to share this product I'm in love with. It's a leave-in conditioner of sorts called 12 Benefits. I read about it in beauty magazines saying it's the best and I agree! It literally has 12 benefits from using it:

1) Seals color
2) Smoothes frizz
3) Repairs damage
4) Prevents split ends
5) Moisturizes dry hair
6) Strengthens fragile hair
7) Prevents flat iron damage
8) Protects from chlorine, wind and sun damage
9) Adds shine, softness and silky finish
10) Protects from blow-drying
11) Improves texture and manageability
12) Anti-age formula keeps hair youthful

....so why would you NOT want this product?

Anyway, y'all should give it a whirl and let me know if there's something you use instead of this. I try new things all the time but I've been buying this repeatedly!

Lazy Weekend

This weekend was much needed!! I sat around all weekend with no plans doing whatever I wanted! I exercised a lot, finally, watched a lot of movies, watched a lot of Mad Men, and read on my Kindle. How relaxing is that?

I'm so excited I have tomorrow off of work... My students have been extra challenging this last week. I feel like I have to be so mean... It's surprising they still like me!

I am glad this week I have a Classroom Management seminar. I feel like I could use some advice.

Any teacher advice out there?
Hope everyone is having as relaxing of a weekend as me!

Cleansing Brush

I was so spoiled this Christmas with so many great gifts. Two of my all-time favorite gifts were a blue blazer (will post a pic later) and the Olay cleansing brush. I have always wanted to try the Clarisonic cleansing brush but they are so expensive. I just couldn't justify spending $200 for a brush without even knowing if it works or not.

SO... My mother did some research and found that yes, the Clarisonic was rated number one for cleansing brushes. But she picked me up the second on the list, which is from Olay. I saw it at Target for only $32.99 which is WAY cheaper.

After only two days of using the Olay brush, my skin cleared up! I don't get a ton of zits or break out badly like I used to in high school (thank goodness) but I do still have oily skin and the occasional break out. I also have really dry skin around my nose.

With this brush, I just use my normal face wash (Proactiv) and my skin is so much better since using it! I am sold! It cleanses better than without using a brush and it exfoliates leaving your skin feeling so clean!

So I am sure the Clarisonic works wonders as well if the cheaper #2 version even does. But I'd say save your $ and go to Target.
